Long-distance move from Chandler, AZ to Coos Bay, OR

License revoked

Don't use. They breached my contact and kept my $2500 deposit, blocked my phone number. Received two emails stating they would return my deposit. That was August 2021. Screw this company. Better Business Bureau says their license was revoked

You where issued a full refund of $717 dollars and the claims you are making about my company are false. Thomas called you directly after issuing you a full refund.

Long-distance move from Sarasota, FL to Oklahoma City, OK

Hopeful

I called them today...I spoke with Thomas and scheduled a move(February 24. 2021). I put 1,100.00 down on a long distance move from SarasotaFl to Oklahoma City OK...Prior to contacting this company, I was considering another moving company. Thomas was so pleasant on the phone, I decided to just put my trust in this company...Michael verified everything and was very pleasant as well...Afterwards, I contacted the representative from the other moving company and told him that I hired Complete Van Lines and will no longer be needing an estimate from him....That representative went out of his way to convince me that I'm involved in a scam. I was almost convinced! I'm happy that I came across these reviews. I also called Michael back and expressed my concern. He was most reasurring. I am still feeling nervous but I am going to move forward with Complete Van Lines. Their price quote was fair and reasonable and Michael assured me that he will hold my hand(so to speak)every step of the way. I will be providing an update once my move is complete(March 1st).

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to West Memphis, AR

One of the worst moving companies and experience ever!!!!

One of the reasons I chose this company to move my moms furniture is because of their supposed to be good ratings, which in no way can be true. I hired CV to pick up on 4/6/21 between the hours of 8-2pm, because my mom was moving out of a senior citizens building and they had certain time to shut down the elevator for movers use. The movers did arrive until 4pm, but the building manager was willing to stay late. The next surprise was I had already gotten a price for $1.550. and and that changed to $2,200 after I had already given them a $500. deposit , now I will admit my box count did change from 15 to about 22 so what is that? 7 boxes and a couple of folding chairs and a ironing board, so how much weight or space would that be? And to let you know the guy I originally talked to [NAME EDIT] who will no longer answer the phone when I call and then I started talking to another guy name Scott who was the one that changed my contract and after that I couldn’t reach him anymore. Now comes the the big [EDIT]!!! So the movers estimated that my moms furniture was going to take up more room than what it was fits estimated for, it went from 300 cubic square feet to 800 l, when [NAME EDIT] first told me that they don’t charge by the weight and my moms furniture will be the only furniture on the truck and CV brokered the job out to another company, Stop and Move. Now I have to give them another $1,695. deposit, and still have to pay another $951. upon delivery and the $51. Is for som BS movers fee, also I’m wondering why are they charging me for 500 cubic square feet when my moms furniture is supposed to be the only furniture on the truck and they’re using a 26 foot Budget Rental Truck. Next, I asked the movers when would they deliver my moms furniture which is approximately 530 miles from Chicago, he said 4-5 days which they picked up on 4/6/21 Tuesday so I asked why so long it’s only a 10 hour drive. He said he didn’t know, so the following Tuesday comes and still no movers, so I called CV and this is when I find out that the company that pick up my moms furniture was Stop and Move a brokered company, so I called them to find out when my moms furniture will be delivered, the lady on the phone said by the end of the week, so that would be 4/17/21. Still no movers, so I called her again and she tells me that the drivers are allowed up to 14 day from pick up to deliver the furniture. So trying to shorten this story, here it is 4/29/21 the just not showing up with my moms furniture, the drive called me at 10:00pm 4/28/21 to let be know that they will be delivering my moms furniture, what happened to the 24 hours notice. I have a few choices words for all these SOB, but it’s not really worth it. I know from now on I will never use another moving company for anything and I will strongly advise other to beware of companies like this, I believe they post all of the good reviews they have on their sites, because from my experience none the shit that’s on there is true. Long-distance move from Albuquerque, NM to Hartford, SD

Scammers

These are some of the copies where I wanted file a complaint even with the Attorney General's office here in South Dakota. I have also included the original copy of the agreement with Complete van lines and the one they sent to you shows higher price than original which [was negotiated for $4600] we have in hand. Also, when we did get the furniture, I was not allowed to look at the contents until I gave the driver a cashier's check for $2700 and he was only 1 person who was unloading the truck, I had to help unload. In addition, he did not set the furniture up like the agreement stated. The truck was the same size that company used to pick up our furniture and the same size truck when it was delivered. Truck had 2 other families' contents on the truck. Originally, we were asked about how many items we had to move and it was 45 items. They recorded 49 on the contract. Later, we found out they go by cubic feet which they did not warn us about. The movers were very young native American boys and it took a long time for them to load and I told my wife they pack the truck the way so it looks like our 45 items use more cubic feet. I could have used less than half of that truck I am sure the Young boys were instructed to do this. We had to give them $1700 as agreed by contract. When they had finished, they said we used more cubic feet and wanted another $4000 to move us. my wife was talking back and forth with Nationwide representative and eventually had to agree to use Citi Visa credit card to give $2000 and upon delivery instead of $1711 I had to give $2700. So total amount they received from us is $ 7620 which include deposit $1220. Final document of dispute as you find out was forged as well as original contract with Van lines. There was no offering of $500 as they stated, pink copy we have was enough as driver stated. So, he did not offer to give us a copy of his contract. Our copy has no date of delivery at all. I also think that after I have signed delivery, scribble of $500 was added (that was not my initials by that). The biggest reason I would like to continue dispute due to damage to many items of furniture. A flat screen TV had a broken screen (driver witnessed it as well) and HP computer also had cracked screen and both need to be recycled. I tried to contact Van lines about reimbursement for damaged goods. At first, they promised to send me reimbursement form. Then after several days, when I have not received any paperwork, I had tried to call them but apparently, I was blocked from reaching them even though I have tried numerous times.

In conclusion I would like to say that the both companies are scammers and experienced in forging contracts as well as lying to trusting public. I also will send pictures of damaged items at the best of my ability via separate e-mail. Finally, I will contact Attorney General in Florida where Complete Van Lines is originated from.

Thank you for attention to my letter.

S0incerely, Terry Gray and Larissa Balint.

Stress-free!

An extremely professional, skilled, polite and efficient moving company. On-time, fast, but gentle with all items needing to be moved, and did I mention how polite and considerate these guys are? Not your typical customer service outfit, this company is perfect. A flawless model for how a business should be run. Cannot recommend them enough. Thanks to the whole crew!

Five stars!

Complete Van lines LLC came recommended, and I recommend them, too! We moved in with my mother after my dad passed, moving about 7 years ago, which means this week we had to move a combined household... that's still collecting stuff. Complete Van lines LLC provided two 50' trucks, and the guys loaded it all in there tightly. The movers were all personable *and* hustled a$$ all day, being very careful with everything. Five stars, guys.

Long-distance move from Minneapolis, MN to Jacksonville, FL

Terrible (Don’t do it )

Horrible company . I should have known to go else where after I received that follow up call from Beth . She was rude and acted as if I wasn’t paying for a service. Please shop around . I was excited to use them as I was offered a reasonable rate of 1500. When the drivers came (3 days late )they asked for 250 more (which wasn’t discussed. I had no issues paying the additional funds as I just wanted my stuff moved . They were kind in the beginning but after they picked your things up things went south from there . I had a hard time connecting to anyone and for a minute thought I was scammed . They eventually got back to me 9 later and advised that my things will be dropped off in 3 days . When my things finally got here the driver didn’t want to enter my complex as he had an 18 wheeler and wanted to rent a $20 Uhual/ Home Depot truck to drop my things off . I paid 250 for that (truck cost him around 30). I had to pay 75 because I lived on the second floor as well. When they pulled up the driver had a gentleman assisting him . They damaged my bed and lost my bed railings.About 3-5 of my boxes and additional items are unaccounted for .The driver stated he was going back to the truck for the additional items and took off and blocked me .The gentleman assisting the driver stated he was a drug user and the driver hired him to assist with my move for $50. To make matters worst I’ve been trying for the last 2 weeks to have someone assist me with my lost items but no one answers the phone. To anyone who is moving cross country please reconsider . What should have been an amazing transition for me turned into a nightmare with this company . Again please shop around .I have been more than patient with them and it just clicked that they don’t care what happens to you or your stuff .

Long Distance move From Houma Louisiana to Aberdeen South Dakota

There isn't enough space to say how bad this moving company is. But I'll try. 1st they do not own or operate any moving trucks or employee any drivers . they contract everything out. They grossly under estimate the size of your move to get the business making it seem like a sweetheart deal. When your driver pulls up in a "rental truck" he has a whole new set of rules about crating certain things like anything with glass, ie... grandfather clocks, entertainment centers, basically anything with a glass panel. This is another charge and it's not small. So you show him that these things are listed on the move and he's like, I don't know these people, I'm on the phone with MY boss (another company) and I can't move these items if they aren't crated. 300.00 PER CRATED ITEM!!!. I call Complete van lines and finally get a human. and they are no help at all. Ok so long story short. I ended up having friends do a yard sale to sell my washer/dryer, refrigerator and many items that just would not go on this truck so we could empty and clean our house to put on the market and sell. It took 11 days once we got to South Dakota to finally get our furniture, cloths, and basic living essentials. Once it arrived the driver sat in the truck for an hour on his phone. he gets out and tells us his helpers backed out on him. So there we stand with a semi in the drive and no one to unload the truck., After about 2 hours I called a local moving company and we borrowed 2 guys to help unload which thankfully the driver had to pay. Now the really ugly,,,, The grandfather clock (crated) had a side grass panel busted out. One of our dinette chairs had a broken leg. An end table had a broken leg. Our entertainment center had a large piece of molding completely broken off.. Our deep freeze electric panel was broken off exposing all the wires and dents in the door with shoeprints as if someone had ben standing/jumping up and down on it. . Several broken plates , dishes and glasses that we packed in foam and bubble wrap. Boxes came in that were untapped with the wrong size lids on them as if someone went through them. I cannot emphasize enough how horrible the whole experience was. I doubt we will be reimbursed for any damages since we didn't buy the really expensive insurance. My advice... do not hire any moving companies off the internet (as I did) Call Allied Van Lines or Mayflower and save yourself a lot of grief. This is probably going to be taken down quickly so please screen shot it and save it and post it elsewhere. This is a bad company.

Long-distance move from New Rochelle, NY to Walnut Grove, CA

Based on my experience, I don't recommend it

It is true that they are very kind when you request an estimate. in fact I signed a contract and paid a deposit. When the day came for the carrier to pick up my belongings, the nightmare began. The carrier did not agree with the estimate and did not understand how the cubic fit was calculated. The carrier calculated a higher price for the same list.He told me that the estimate the broker had made me was very low. Also explained to me that this is very common if you deal with a broker. It is better to look for the direct rate with the carriers to avoid deception. at that point you have two options: pay more money or lose your deposit. I hope my experience helps you think twice and avoid going through that
